Early Years

The 7th of April 1991 saw the birth of Anne Marie Rose Nicholson, who grew up in East Tilbury, Essex, UK. Susan J. was her mother. While her father, Wayne Nicholson, is from London and was a handyman in the construction sector, “Sue” is from Essex and worked as a teacher.

Marie grew up next to Samantha, her sister. Sean Paul, a song by Clean Bandit and Anne-Marie, was released at the same time. On March 10, 2017, Anne-Marie dropped the number-one single Ciao Adios. The song was a success, peaking at number nine on the UK chart and earning Platinum certification. To release the song Any Way with Joey Badass, she later collaborated with the techno group Snakehips.
